• My website is running great, but when someone shares a link to Facebook, Google+ or LinkedIN, the link doesn’t share the image associated with the post, just a Facebook or Twitter chicklet (small icon) from somewhere else on the post. Also, the favicon 16×16 png is showing up in the address bar for Chrome and in bitly links, but not for Safari or Google+ sharing (it’s inconsistent).

I’ve cleared my cache but that hasn’t solved the problem, and I don’t know how to make an image get shared to Facebook with the post.

I’d provide an example, but don’t want to appear like I’m advertising ?? Is that enough info to help?? Thanks!

Update: Sharing the link works fine. “Liking” it pulls up the chicklet from the bottom corner. “Liking” also only shows one word for the description, instead of the custom post description.

Another update: I’m fine with the favicon, the primary concern is associating a picture with a post so when people “Like” it, it shows up on their FB

I am failry sure you will need to work with facebook to make this happen as desired. Review the required meta in head and start a dev account.

Thanks, I found out I might need to edit the OG tags, but I’m not sure if you can put a picture link in the metadata. Haven’t found any OG tag plugins…
