Post Page Template

  • Hi all.
    I created a copy of the file class-content-post.php in the theme child . I modified this file to create a new post template setup using extra fields .
    Now any post that is placed calls my new template .
    You can choose when you want to use the modified template or the original?
    I wish I could choose when to use this template to post edited by me.
    Any help?

  • Creating a new post template for each post is not possible. For pages, yes.

    Also, it should be done by copying the custom-page.php file and not the class file.

    If you can explain in slightly more detail what you want to achieve, I may be able to help you with a different solutions.
