Post & page editor white screen

    Theme: picolight
    Plugins:
    Better Admin Bar, Cimy User Extra Fields, Contact Forms to Email, Force First and Last Name as Display Name, List category posts, Maintenance Page, Peter’s Login Redirect, Remove Dashboard Access, Sidebar Login

    All working fine.

    Activate New User Approve. Works as advertised. But …
    Editors trying to use New Post or New Page, or Authors trying to use New Post from the Dashboard get a white screen of death. They are able to use New Media.
    Deactivate New User Approve, all back to normal.

    Any suggestions as to what I can do?

  • Not sure if this is related or not but I was getting a memory errors on a mostly white screen when attempting to view all users. On occasion, I would get the white screen of death (typical of a plugin conflict) on the same page. Research lead me to trying to increase the memory.

    My resolution was to add a php.ini file with memory increased to 128MB and that seemed to resolve it. I will know more as time goes on. Maybe it may help to resolve your issue too?

    Thanks. I tried several other plugins that support new user approval. They all had the same conflict, so it has to be classed as a bug in Cimy User Extra Fields, not New User Approve. The answer turns out to be to use Register Plus Redux which provides extra fields and new user approval, and no conflict with the post editor.

    Good job on finding the issue. I need to look further into using the plugin with the Cimy User Extra Fields plugin.
