Post on page other than home page

  • Can someone tell mme how to have my blogs post on my page called POSTS instead of my front page. I want my front page to be a landing page only and my blog to show up posts page. Under reading settings I changed front page displays to “static”, but how do I get posts to show up on post page?

  • It sounds like you are trying to do something more complicated than I thought. Apologies.

    If you are trying to make a static page that doesn’t look like a blog post, you are going to have to make a template page and use that.

    I have no real experience in that area unfortunately, other than to tell you to search the codex for templates……

    My site looks good and does everything the way I want right now. The only thing I don’t like is that when I post something,it shows up on my home page and on my “post” page. I’d like to have my home page stay static (Landing page) and my posts to show up only on my “post” page. Can I do that? Or did I screw something up starting out?

    I set up my friends blog by using a page as I showed you earlier as the front page, and a different page for posts.

    It worked the way you describe…..

    Not sure why it isn’t working for you….it’s been a while since I set that up…..

    If I download another theme, will all my info that I have now be there? Or will I need to start over?

    all your info is saved….you can change themes all you want
