My last successful post notification went on on 8/18/2022.

I have followed the troubleshooting procedures in the help section, but there are no reported errors. There is one post that is still under the “Sending” tab under Post Notifications, but it has statistics attached like it had already been sent. I’ve tried moving it to the trash, but that didn’t change anything.

I’ve tried both your sending service, and my own email provider, and nether makes a difference. Test emails work fine, and Newsletters work without issue.

I have not been able to send an update to my customers for over a week now and it’s a daily update.

    Please Help!

I should add that I think this started with one of the recent updates because I noticed that the

Newsletter task scheduler (cron) had been changed from

    WordPress built-in cron (recommended)
    to
    Visitors to your website,

and I never changed it from the recommended option.

Regardless, I’ve tried all three options now and none will send out the newsletter.

    I’m having the same issue.
Notifications (direct) stopped sending on aug 23 without any logical reason.
    Weekly newsletter still went out.

I don’t see anything in the cron events that’s associated at all with MP. It’s like it hasn’t registered itself with the system. I see events from my calendar plugin, Yoast, Updraft, etc.., but nothing indicating MailPoet.

I have no idea if this is how it’s supposed to work without any feedback from MP, but I guess I might have to find another app if I can’t get any help. It’s nearing two weeks that I have not been able to send a “Daily” fishing report to our subscribers, and summer is about to be over.

    @rudyodo
I’ve spent all day on this and I think I fixed my particular issue.

That post notification I mentioned above that appeared to be stuck sending, even though it had stats attached. I had moved it to the trash, but that never changed anything. This time I just deleted it permanently.

Now I did a small post update and have it set to send immediately and it worked. Time will tell if it will stick, but that’s the first notification email to go out since the 18th.

I’ll leave this open for now not that it appears to matter.
    Hope it helps you.

Well that didn’t last long. Can’t get another one to go out.

I changed the cronjob to ‘WordPress built-in cron (recommended)’, but then my VPS got stuck, so I had to return it to ‘Visitors to your website’. My website has thousands of visitors a dat, so it should do the job.

I think ‘direct’ stopped working after updating to 3.95.1.

So I think it is actually working. (With “WordPress built-in cron (recommended)”)

I was trying to update/republish and it wasn’t sending it out, but if I created a new post it was working.

Tonight will be the real test when we do our actual daily post. We have it set to go at every night at 11:00pm. I’ll report back.

    Hi there @frgtech ????!

Sorry for the late reply, when there is a post notification stuck, deleting it normally fixes the issue.

Please keep me posted if you still need help with this issue.

    Cheers!

    And hi @rudyodo ????

Could you please open up a new thread? I’ll be glad to help you there so that we can focus on one issue at a time.

    Thanks!

    Hi @danielinhou

Our report went out last night so this appears to be fixed.

Sorry for the late reply, when there is a post notification stuck, deleting it normally fixes the issue.

This would be invaluable information to have in your troubleshooting section. Since there is not an actual option to “Delete” a stuck Post Notification directly, you would need to make clear that you need to first “Move to trash”, and then delete permanently from there. (or include the option to delete permanently without the need to move to trash first)

I think most people would equate moving to trash to being the same as deleting, as it is on most operating systems. I certainly thought so.

Your help system is far better than most and I hope this gets included in the future. It would have saved me an enormous amount of time and frustration.

    Good luck @rudyodo
