    Hello! Please hear my experience:

Wanting to publish a new post without MailPoet sending it, I toggled the Post Notification Status to OFF, as shown:

Then I wrote my post, published it, and toggled the Status back on.

Before I know it the post gets sent! It seems that MailPoet checks for any published posts that haven’t been sent, rather than only send at the time of publishing.

If that is the case, how can we add posts without also sending them as emails? Sometimes I don’t want to email a given post.

    Thanks for your support!

    Hi @xroox,

That’s because posts are still scheduled to be sent even when the Post Notification is disabled. The idea is that if you disable it temporarily to edit the email, you won’t lose any emails in the meanwhile.

If you’re looking to send only a particular category of posts, I recommend adding it to the Automatic Latest Content widget’s settings. For example, you can exclude posts from specific categories or containing specific tags, so you don’t need to disable the Post Notification when you don’t want some posts to be sent.

    Hi Bruna,

We are already using categories to limit which posts MailPoet sends. The issue is we still want a particular post to be in that category (on the blog), but didn’t want it sent as an email. There are cases when this might make sense.

Is there a way to prevent MP from sending every post in that category?

Or can you suggest a workaround?

    Thanks again!
