It seems the latest update sends post notifications again immediately. Is this another bug or a feature? How can we queue post notifications instead of sending them immediately?

    Hi Michael,

No. It’s still queues Post Notification. There are chances that your Post Notifications queued up and at the same time Cron runs and start sending queued notifications.

Malay, thanks for the reply. How can I disable Cron? I didn’t find a setting for that.

    Hi Michael,

You can disable Cron for notifications from Email Subscribers > Settings > Email Sending > Disable WordPress Cron.

    Hope that helps.

Malay, thanks! It was indeed a Cron problem. By the way, because WordPress Cron is enabled by default, post notifications are sent immediately by default which is really not a good idea.

    Hi Michael,

We are using WP Cron to send automatic (not immediately) email notification as we are queuing emails to send.

So, cron triggers on every 15 minutes and send queued emails.

If you don’t want to send emails all queued emails at every 15 minutes, you can disable WP Cron.

Or you can use Email Subscribers PRO to schedule email notifications. So, it will send email notifications at it’s desired time.

    Hope that helps.
