Ever since I updated my website to 4.7 (and newer versions), the home page does not show posts anymore. I switched on the debug mode and this error appears:

NOTICE: UNDEFINED OFFSET: 0 IN {base_url}\WP-CONTENT\THEMES\GROUPEMEDIATFO\HOME.PHP ON LINE 171

NOTICE: TRYING TO GET PROPERTY OF NON-OBJECT IN {base_url}\WP-CONTENT\THEMES\GROUPEMEDIATFO\HOME.PHP ON LINE 171

NOTICE: UNDEFINED OFFSET: 0 IN {base_url}\WP-CONTENT\THEMES\GROUPEMEDIATFO\HOME.PHP ON LINE 171

NOTICE: TRYING TO GET PROPERTY OF NON-OBJECT IN {base_url}\WP-CONTENT\THEMES\GROUPEMEDIATFO\HOME.PHP ON LINE 171

This works when I go back to a previous version of WordPress (before 4.7)

Your theme is creating those errors. Contacting the theme author will help.

to start troubleshooting, first off try switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Sixteen.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins). If you don’t have access to your admin area, use FTP/ SFTP , or your web-host’s cPanel or whatever file management application your host provides (no Dashboard access required). Navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and switch to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder by adding “-old” to the end of the folder name. Alternately, you can remove other themes except the default theme (Twenty Sixteen.). That will force your site to use it.

That error message clearly shows that the problem is with the theme.

Thanks. The articles are indeed shown when I switch themes. Only my theme has trouble. Any idea though why this started causing an issue from WordPress 4.7?

Note that whenever I return to a previous version, the articles show up again with that custom theme.
