Post not Indexed in Blog Search Weeks Later

  • We hadn’t been active on our blog (https://www.mydaytradingtutor.com/news/)for various reasons since April 8th, 2007 (the late of our last post before we started posting again).

    Then we posted twoice on July 10 and will become a lot more active going forward.

    In 2007, every time we posted, the posts were picked up by Google Blog Search and other blog search engines almost instantly. Right now, it’s a different story. The July 10 posts do not come up, even when I search for specific terms unique to the post in quotes.

    The guy who designed my blog doesn’t know what’s going on. He suggested that I upgrade the version of WordPress in our blog, but I don’t think this explains the reason for the unindexed posts.

    I also tried using Pingomatic manually to no avail. The posts still don’t show up after that.

    Can anyone offer some suggestions?

  • Google visits more popular sites more often and therefore when you were writing on your site regularly it regularly visited and indexed your site.

    Since you stopped changing or updating your site with new posts google stopped indexing your site as nothing changed and therefore it may take a while before google revisits and discovered something new and starts indexing again.

    Patience is the key here or get yourself some links from other sites to help.

    Some people suggest that the reason why WordPress blogs are not being indexed is because owners failed to update the WordPress version. See:

    Finished upgrade to 2.6 and had to fix a weird issue with disappearing categories. Hopefully, the pages will be indexed now. If anyone else has had a similar problem (with the pages not being indexed), which got fixed (meaning, pages were indexed again) when you upgraded your wordpress version, please let me know.

    i’m experiencing the same problem.

    i just switched to WordPress a week ago and updated to current version (2.6.1). i noticed that my blog posts are not showing up on Google blogsearch and even technorati. i’m already using the ping-o-matic plus other ping services but it’s still not working.

    would appreciate if someone could provide help with this.

    I had a problem with Google not indexing my site as well. Was crawling like mad, but nothing was being index. Well, found the answer to have Google index my site within seconds:
