Post metadata showing in MS Teams

  • Hi.

    Whenever we share a URL for one of our website pages in MS Teams, the post metadata shows along with it, indicating the username that made the post. Is there somewhere to change the info that gets displayed for each page or is this something that we are going to have to live with?

  • You need to provide Open Graph metadata to tell these messaging and social media services what to display in their link previews. If you don’t, you leave them to scrape the page and display whatever they find (which may not always be desirable).

    All SEO plugins provide these Open Graph metadata, but there are also dedicated plugins that do just this and nothing else.
