I have been running a Santa website for over 2 years now, and one feature that is a big must is the “Request A Santa” feature. This allows guests to our website to fill in information about a request for a Santa and then that information is emailed to all of our members. Up until a few weeks ago, guests could access the job posting without problems. But this evening I was informed that it was not working. (Not certain to how long this was going on, just that I was notified this evening.)

On our Request A Santa page, it shows the beginning wording and then “You have not permission to post job. Please contect with admin.” <= The spelling error is in the message as well.

The page that this is located at has the shortcode [submit_job_form] added to it and this is suppose to show the form to people.

We are using sMyles Plugins, but that is the only other set with the Job Manager.

Does anyone have any ideas why this now requires this? I have checked the settings and the box for “Require an account to submit listings” is unchecked.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @ralbrightii!

Can you also check if “Enable account creation during submission.” from WP Admin > Job Listings > Settings > Job Submission is unchecked?

Please also check if you have any other active plugins that have a setting related to account creation. I’d suggest trying to check for any plugin conflicts by disabling all of your plugins except WP Job Manager. Then try testing and checking again to see if the issue persists. If that resolves your issue, you can find what was causing it by enabling each plugin one by one while continuing to test.

Let us know how it goes.
