    Hello!

Sometimes I start to rank posts before actually publishing them on the site. On my own site where I use Yoast these posts rank without problem (it’s a bigger site). But on my other site, where I also have Yoast, the article doesn’t rank at all and it’s been 5-6 days. I have checked that the post is listed in the sitemap which indeed it is.

Is there anything you can think of that I may have done wrong, some setting or similar or is this just how Google works sometimes?

    Thank you

The post finally turned up but it took a little over a week.

In order for changes to pages and new information to show up in Google, this first requires that Googlebot re-crawls the page in question. On average, Google will automatically re-crawl a site every 48-72 hours, but this can vary depending on other factors. However, if you have your site setup in Google Search Console you can force Google to re-crawl a page by using the ‘Fetch as Googlebot’ feature. We also we have a guide on using the ‘Fetch as Googlebot’ feature here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/fetch-as-googlebot/
