post installing 2.3 – now no feed or old posts

  • Just installed 2.3 over the top of the old 1.5 but now it can no longer see any of the old posts plus the feed is now no longer available.

    The links in the sidebar to old posts, archives etc are there but give a 404.

    Altering the .htaccess has not changed this problem either.

    Anybody out there got any ideas?

  • I’m assuming you mean 2.0.3?

    Please post you .htaccess here, because it does sound as a permalink problem.
    And what are your permalink options set to?

    ok yeah, I did mean 2.0.3

    permalink options are set to:
    /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/

    .htaccess file reads:

    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /daily/
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule . /daily/index.php [L]
    </IfModule>

    That looks ok.

    Do you have any plugins running? If so, try deactivating them.

    And do your webserver error logs show anything?

    Wonderful thanks Nazgul …took out all the plugins (for the second time) ..this time the page comes up as it should, feed in on and working ..so I am now gradually putting the plugins back in one at at a time …so far so good … thanks for your help.

    I had exactly the same problem, turns out it was the “adhesive.php” plugin.
