• I’ve been playing around with galleries and he associated plugins, various album plugins, and I haven’t found exactly what I am looking for.

Here’s what I need, if anyone can help I’d be grateful:

Make a post/page, upload and insert an image into the post from the write post/page interface. When the image is uploaded, be able to specify a sub-album (for the user logged in) in which to place the photo. Otherwise just upload to generic root or uncategorized directory. I need to be able set up several albums for half a dozen users, each specifically able to only upload to thier own album. User albums based on site logins. Lightbox or Greybox options would be nice also.

Right now, Gallery2 does parts of this, but not all. Also Gallery2 doesn’t mesh well with my theme and does 10x as much as I want. Maybe it does exactly what I need, but I have yet to figure it all out.

  • I use coppermine, it probably has WAY more features than you need, but should do everything you want it to. it would be a bit of work to theme it to match, and depending on how your site is set up, integrating the users could be an issue, I know that coppermine has “bridge” modules/plugins for things like xoops and phpBB, but I’m not sure if there’s one for wordpress. I do think there is a “port” of coppermine that’s a wordpress “plugin”, so that would solve the user bridging issue.
