    I take it you’d just like the images to “be there”, and not be clickable to the separate bare image. If you get the bare image, you’ll always get the name of the image, too, not “Katie” and so on.

    To make the photos non-clickable, try this. Go to any Page or Post where you have a photo. Click on a photo, and choose the “Edit Image” icon on the left. In there, where it says “Link URL”, click “None”. Click “Update” (might need to scroll down), and you’re done!

    btw, while you’re on that screen you can also play with titles and other things… you can experiment with how those work.

    If you actually want the photos to be clickable and have a nice display, I like to use the Auto Thickbox plugin for that. It’s slightly manual to operate, but I use it all the time, and it doesn’t have the extreme complexity of NextGen or things like that.
