Post has disappeared but is still in admin area

  • Hi

    I have one post that has disappeared from it’s url but can still be found in the admin area.

    Really baffled by this and I don’t know how this happened and how to get it back on it’s correct url.

    Theme is twenty eleven.

  • When you edit the post and click “Preview”, doesn’t it show the post in the frontend?

    No just tried, page not found

    Are you shown a 404 page?

    It may be a permalink glitch. You could try going to Settings > Permalinks, then “save changes” without making any changes.

    Not sure if it’s a 404 doesn’t say.

    Just says This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?

    with a search box and recent posts ect.

    Cyril – I tried that and no change I’m afraid.

    If I click on one of the categories sure enough the post is still there but when you click on it its not there still!

    Wa wondering for this post to change url in permalinks and 301 redirect old to new?

    Also running a broken link tool right now for the whole site and all the errors relate to the blog and are mostly to do with tags, could this be related?
