I’m trying to use the Post Grid block to show sub-pages of my page. However, I failed.

While I can easily change the block from posts to pages, there are no options for pages to narrow down the scope. No taxonomy or parent selection. Why? Or did I miss something?

Post Grid block when used with posts:
    https://pasteboard.co/K5UlOrp.png
as you can see in the panel marked on the right there is “Taxonomy” where “Categories” are selected and then there is “Category” where I can pick the category of posts to show in the grid.

However, the same block used with pages:

doesn’t offer any taxonomy. Also, I don’t see any option to pick the parent page of the pages to show in the grid.

    Hello @adambadura ,

It seems like you are using Custom Post Type. Just to let you know, for Custom Post Types make sure the show_in_rest parameter is set to true. For both, custom post type and custom taxonomies.

Let me know how it goes.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

@swetakumari, I’m surprised with the “custom” – I always thought that “posts” (“wpisy” in Polish) and “pages” (“strony” in Polish) are something standard to WordPress.

Anyway, where is this show_in_rest parameter?

    Hello @adambadura ,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you due to a lack of understanding of your language.

Now, as I can see you are using Post Types as “Pages”. So, in that case, the Category and Taxonomy option will not be there. By default both categories and taxonomy are only limited to posts, so when you create a new page in WordPress, you will notice that there is no option to add categories or tags/taxonomy to your WordPress page. This is default feature of WordPress.

    I hope you understand.

    Regards,
    Sweta
