  • From a quick look, this theme doesn’t offer that.

    Even though you manually add theme support for post format in child theme function, still you have to “do things” with the formats, style them differently for example. Otherwise it would be just a taxonomy sitting there.

    So if you really want this feature, it’s better to use themes that support this out of the box.

    That’s a demo with probably some default contents from wp test data. This theme doesn’t have the add theme support for post formats in its function. There is no template (the loop content) for post format, and there is no reference to post format in the stylesheet.

    The thing about post format is that it confuses users. Without post formats (with only standard post) you can already do whatever you want. You can make a gallery, embed a video, make a quote section, put in a chat transcript, and more.
