    Hello Jas,

Have you tried regenerating the thumbnails?

Also am wondering is it possible to make them rectangular, without the wrap around the post?

You can but you’ll need to define the new values via a child theme by using set_post_thumbnail_size or add_image_size

How do I regenerate the thumbnails?
    Thanks,

Its recommended to use the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin for that.

Ok I think you’ve miss understood me, my thumbnail photos at the top of my site are centred, but if you look down my homepage all the featured photo’s are to the left, making my site look un even! the Regenerate did not solve that problem, it just made all my photo’s worse

I would like to change to the Child Theme, but I’m not sure how to install it, and if I do will I lose the current changes I’ve made to the my current site?

    Thanks,

    Hi Zulfikar,

Looks like my problem has been solved! Thanks for your time : )

Just for your information, I have a Thumbnail Editor that I use to crop my images, there for the Regenerate Thumbnail was of no use to me, as it just altered the images I had already cropped.

    Thanks, Jas

    Hello Jas,

Glad you got that issue resolved and thanks for the feedback the thumbnail editor – care to share a link to the plugin?

I would like to change to the Child Theme, but I’m not sure how to install it

You’d install a child theme just as you would a standard theme.

and if I do will I lose the current changes I’ve made to the my current site?

WordPress treats the child theme just like another theme and for the Customizer most settings are saved on per theme basis – you wont loose the changes/settings for the current theme but they wont be carried over to the new theme.

    Hope that helps.

Hi, I am having the same problem with the featured images of the posts on the homepage. They are shifting to the left, while the rest of the images are centrally aligned. What method did you use to solve this problem?
    Thanks.

Hi, there I realise that my page screen was not zoomed in at 100%, once I put it back to 100% it was fine!

For cropping featured images, I use a plug in called
    “Post Thumbnail Editor” https://sewpafly.github.io/post-thumbnail-editor/

    Jas

My page screen is zoomed to 100%, but I still have the problem. On a particular post page, the featured image is pushed more to left, while the rest of the images are along the centre. I think it has something to do with Ridizain’s fluid set-up.
Thanks though, for the quick reply.
