Post expiry message display over post

Hi – I am setting up a deal website using Retro-fitted theme. I want to shows a post expiry message over post like
https://www.deals2buy.com/deals/26mlk5g2-dell-inspiron-15r-n5110-laptop-2nd-generation-intelbased on expiry date setup on the post.. I checked it couple of plugin but those did not help.
In general I want to shows a big message over the post that indicate its expires.. I dont want to delete the post as that will cause 404 error
please advice ..
