Post Excerpts on Home Page

    While I absolutely love the layout and customization of the Solon Theme, I want it to show the excerpts on the home page exactly as they are in the posts (including an image without having to set a featured image and the formatting instead of being lumped together which is not aesthetically pleasing). I moved from Blogger and I really liked that part of Blogger. Is there any way I can change this on my WordPress site?

  • Basically, you want to show the full content of your posts on the home page?

    There isn’t an option for this, but you can achieve it pretty easily if you create a child theme. In that child theme you would need to overwrite the content.php file and change the_excerpt(); to the_content();.
