Post excerpts missing

    Hello,

    I’ve been running support requests with Elementor as well, and Unlimited Elements (plugin running the ‘post grid’) and they are coming up empty… so, I thought I’d check with you all because I used your plugin to export and Import these custom post types.

    Is there a chance the post excerpts have disappeared or are hidden but used/called by these other plugins? Here’s the request I sent to UE, which should offer the whole story for background.

    I duplicated a page that was showing a text summary instead of the breadcrumbs (Banff). 

    Notice that the summary text for Revelstoke and Sun Peaks reads, “We offer a variety of Banff vacation packages.” 

    Banff was the page I duplicated. 

    I’ve looked at Banff, and these other pages (Revelstoke & Sun peaks), and all I can find in the code is a reference to uc_post_text. Screenshot: https://capture.dropbox.com/8wjBwTrAZ7K1wYop

    I guess we are back to trying to find where these texts are coming from.  And, why are some working and others not?

    Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

    Impossible for us to say or know for certain where those text spots are coming from. Best we can suggest would be to edit the posts and check around the UI for possible sources.

    This is what I have done… and there doesn’t appear to be any excerpts to be seen.

    They are custom post types created through import from CPT UI… They have said they had nothing to do with a missing excerpt. All other forums & posts I have seen related show that there should be a post excerpt in the page editing… and there is not.

    Just to be certain, “excerpt” is checked in the “supports section at the bottom of the CPTUI editor screen correct?

    Also, have you clicked the 3 vertical dots in the upper right corner and scrolled down to “Preferences”? You can toggle the metabox for Excerpts on and off via the General > Document Settings section.

    @tw2113 You’re the BEST! The box wasn’t checked in CPT UI.

    I knew it had to be something so simple.

    I guess the stranger thing is that other posts in this post-type are working and these require some editing. But I’ll move on with this knowledge and I am grateful for your help.
