Post Excerpts

  • I have installed this plugin and it looks really sweet so far compared to the former “Press This” plugin. Like that I can cut and paste in an excerpt but somewhat tedious. Can this plugin automatically extract an excerpt into the “Press This” which then can allow clicking on a link to see the full article in an external link? It looks like one out of about 10 posts I grabbed did have that capability but don’t know if it was the article or my unknowing skills. LOL. I have tried almost every plugin, it seems, and this so far comes the closest and easiest plugin I’ve seen. If it had this one feature, I’m set. Thanks.

    I really need help. Now all I get is the page that says “Feed me some articles, I’m hungry”. I re-pasted the code you gave me for the example. Is this a problem? The php is named “Twenty Eleven Child-Theme: Article List Page Page Template (page-arlima-example.php)” when I got editor. In the theme directory, it’s named /themes/twentyeleven-child/page-arlima/example.php. I think all I did different was add the twenty eleven theme function/php file to the child theme directory. My site frontpage is entirely down now. I apologize for taking so much of your time.
