post excerpt: content extract versus standard field

    Hi, our users are not used to fill in a kind of summary into the standard excerpt field. So we are happy with a theme which shows an extract of the content field (according to the theme excerpt length). Is it possible to do something similar with the plugin (via a hook, filter). Any advice is pretty much appreciated.

    Hello @ernstwg,

    if no excerpt is explicitly set for a post, our plugin use the first part of the post content. Is this not working for you? Are you referring to the posts block?

    Hi Michael.

    I was wrong it is working. Probably an overlapping of different steps in parallel on my side. It’s fine.

    But a quick question: Is there a chance to display post_category ?
