When one of the editors on outr site attempts to update a post, she is always shown a dialog box asking for “Form Shortcode” and then shows a drop-down with CC Forms to pick from. If I disable the CC plug-in, it goes away. What is this box asking, and why is it being shown? The posts being edited do not even refer to anything related to CC.

    thanks

Can you provide a screenshot of what you or this person is seeing?

It is something happening automatically, or is something being clicked first? We do offer a TinyMCE UI button to help select and embed a form shortcode, but it shouldn’t be happening automatically. It’s also just meant to be an aid with embedding a chosen form where you may want one.

If it is showing up right away, then it’s possible there’s some sort of javascript error occurring from *something* that’s breaking how the user experience should be.

Hi there, sorry for the delay, have contacted client, and they are not able to replicate the issue. I do notice a dialog box briefly flashing when opening the post, but it does not seem to affect functionality.

    thanks for the offered help!

Awesome to hear that things have seemed to clear up. Thanks for the followup.

We have the same issue, which started as soon as we installed this plugin.

As we’re saving a post — meaning the standard post type as well as custom post types — the editor flashes a form shortcode dialog box, which then goes away.

While it doesn’t really affect functionality, the posts seem slower in saving.

We’ve lived with this for maybe six weeks due to lack of time to fix it, but I need to find a solution now, which might mean removing the plugin.

I will attempt to get a screen grab. Is there somewhere I can send it?

    Thanks.

michael @ webdevstudios . com will reach me.

All the dialog box is is part of the TinyMCE integration that is available for selecting a Constant Contact Form to insert into the post. The fact that it flashes for a moment means that the CSS used to hide it isn’t immediately applied/available as the dialog part is loaded. If you’re seeing slowness in the post editor area as a whole, that’s very likely why the flash is occurring.

That’s the best response I’ve ever received on this WordPress forum.

    Your description makes perfect sense.

I’ll send you the screen grab, but you’ve already nailed the issue.

    Thank you.
