Post duplicating onto wrong page

  • Hello there!

    This is my first post…I’ll try to keep it brief ??

    Basically I have a series of categories and sub-categories on my site. I’ve added a post onto a particular page. The permalink and category point to that page and it appears there successfully.

    However! It’s also appearing on another page which is completely irrelevant, despite the fact that category is not selected. I can’t work out why on earth it’s appearing there.

    Here’s a link to the page where it shouldn’t be appearing:

    As you can see it’s about Noun Types and is also in the correct category of Grammar, Nouns.

    I’d really appreciate a simple solution if there is one ??

    It is…a series of separate posts relevant to the page. However the top post is not relevant in any way…it’s another category completely…

    Do you know how I can fix this? Hopefully it’s just something simple that I’ve missed somehow…

    Assuming that it is a a page of posts, I can only guess that there is something wrong with the query in that custom page template.

    Sorry, I’m not great with this stuff…do you know of a step-by-step solution to something like this?

    Drop a copy of the file into the WordPress pastebin and post the pastebin url here. Perhaps someone will be able to spot the problem and suggest a solution.
