    Thank you for using Yoast SEO and for reaching out!

    This is actually not Yoast SEO behavior, but WordPress behavior. If you check multiple categories or tags, that post will show up on all the relevant archive pages.

    With Yoast SEO however, you can set a “Primary category” for a post, where this will be the only URL of that post that will be able to be indexable in the search results. The other links will have the canonical URL pointing to the URL including the primary category. (if you have the category in the permalink structure).
