post displaying as summaries only

  • i am having this strange thing happen! even though i have the reading settings set to display the full text of the posts, it is only displaying the summary.

    i am using 2.8 and the pink orchid theme

    could it be some code in the theme that is overriding the reading settings and forcing the summary?

  • You can find that answer by (temporarily) changing your theme to the default theme (because that theme does not do excerpts on the front page but full posts).
    If yes, find your themes index.php , find <?php the_excerpt and replace that with <?php the_content
