Post dates not showing

  • Hi, I use Flexx Uncorked, and my blog posts have never displayed a date or time. I am relatively new at this, so if you can help me, please tell me exactly where I need to go to fix this. Under “Appearances” if I click “Editor” I believe I can see that it says after “date” “none”– don’t know why; I know I didn’t put that in!Can you help me? Thank you

  • You need to add either the_date() or the_time() to your theme’s template files.

    Thank you for the reply. However, could you walk me thru it? Where exactly? The files intimidate the h*** out of me and I am afraid of putting this in the wrong place. I can’t understand why my theme would not display the date of my posts by default. I understand what needs to happen but am not clear exactly where I have to make the change. “Template files” is too vague for me.
