• Hi,
my name is Andrea, I use wordpress for a few months, after years of Joomla and this is my first post in this forum!

    I have a small problem and a question…

I would like to create a travel guide to London with WP. I find a very nice template that allows you to customize posts’ category (colour, background,…) and it has a small rating system on post.

Is a good choice using post (and not pages) for static content like Attraction Reviews (“Piccadilly Circus” or “tower bridge” turistic information for example). I would not want that google assign to these posts ta specific date (as if they were news) cos these is “static content”.

So, it’s possible to hide data in some posts (not in all)?

    Thank you very much!

generally this is possible; you would probably need either a category or tag as a marker for those posts, or a custom field …

details depend on your currently used theme.

thanks… and what do you think about using Post (and not pages) for static content?

if you ommitt all the output for dates, categories, tags and next/prev post links, there is hardly a difference between posts and pages (at least from the view of search engines).
