I saw that page already but still confused.

Do I need to use the CAST operator for the post_date field?

Basically I’m trying to add a where = (post_date = today’s date)

Yep, since you compare it to an date type variable CURDATE() you’ll need to cast it to an SQL date type first (this is an SQL function that is triggered by the SQL server itself).
