Post-counts for a term in Custom Taxonomy..

  • When one adds a custom taxonomy to WP3, WordPress provides an admin page for that taxonomy. The admin page lists all of the terms in the taxonomy, and alongside each term is a number indicating the total number of posts tagged with that term..

    I have an issue with this post-count number where WordPress apparently fails to decrement it as expected when posts have been deleted (when I say ‘deleted’ I mean a trash followed by emptying the trash). It works ok when the deleted post is of regular type, but not when the post is of custom type.

    Is this a bug in WordPress or have I overlooked something in programming?

    In addition, when clicking on the number [in order to display a list of the posts tagged with the term], the only posts to show up are those of regular type. Is there a simple way to get WordPress to include the posts of custom type too?
