Post Counts & Custom Taxonomies Please Assist
-
I’m currently using a plugin called WP-dtree that works fine for my needs but it doesn’t show post counts and they’re unresponsive in the plugin’s support forum…seems to be abandoned.
I use wp user frontend for registered members to publish posts in those categories. I would like the subcategories specifically, not the parent categories, to show the total post counts associated with those subcategories.
Example of what I am trying to achieve
Colors
Red (2 posts)
Blue (12 posts)
Green (22 posts)
Foods
Candy (4 posts)
Steak (35 posts)
Fruit (0 posts)The standard WordPress categories are not used in this case. These are custom taxonomies I set using Pods.
Ideally I want to keep using the current menu so maybe a code snippet to add to the plugin functions or wp theme functions, etc that will just make the sub categories show how many posts are associated with it.
If there is nothing, can you suggest a good free nested menu tree plugin that does show associated post counts?
Thanks!
