• After updating wp-supercache, I noticed that the post content stopped displaying on my site.

I seem to have found the conflict: I have the plugin “ad injection” running on the site as well. If I disabled either supercache, or ad injection, the post content started to display again.

Any idea why this may be happening?

    Thanks a lot!

    David

  • That is interesting to know. I had this same problem – see earlier comment. I too had ‘Ad Injection’ plugin also running!

I turned off the cache and would be good to hear thoughts on how best to proceed for the future.

Looks like it’s using the obsolete mfunc code to insert the adverts. You have to enable PHP mode in the Advanced Settings page of Supercache and enable dynamic caching, but that will only work in 1.3.2. The next version of Supercache will not have mfunc at all.

It would be much better if that plugin used Javascript instead to insert a loader that loaded the adverts.

Can you post to the Ad Injection support forum informing the plugin what is happening, and point them at this comment on my blog for further info:

Confirmation: had same problem with disappearing content.

Also traced it to a conflict with the Ad Injection plugin which relies on mfunc for dynamic content.
