    Hi there,
    My client would like to be able to post updates on the homepage of her site. We already have a blog page where she blogs to but would like a separate category for the homepage.

    I have created the second category and assigned it to the posts on the homepage but all of the posts from all categories keep appearing here.

    Am I doing something wrong? Maybe someone can go through the steps with me?

    Hi Esmi, Thanks for the response, I figured out it was the post Category ID I had incorrect.

    I have the widget on the page using HTML in a text widget. Is there a plugin or a way to style these so they stand out a little more?

    No. You will need to start customising your theme’s CSS – possibly via a child theme or a custom CSS plugin.
