On all ABISKO posts, how do I get the “By” line (bottom of post) to show my username?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi John,

The theme includes the Post Author block there by default, which should output the author name with a link to the author archive, using the name formatting selected in Users → Profile in the administration panel.

Do you have any plugins active related to user profiles or author archive pages?

If you go to Appearance → Editor → Templates → Single Posts, do you see the post author block there?

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly after your epic summer hike!

Only plugins are: LightSpeed Cache, Really Simple SSL (both req’d by host) and Optimize Database after Deleting Revisions.

I see Appearance-Editor BETA. Host installed WordPress 6.1.3

Could that be the problem? If so what is the required version? 6.2.2?

    Thank you Anders.

@john-cameron No problem! I believe the Post Author block wasn’t added until 6.2, so you’ll need to update your WordPress installation to display it.

Thanks Anders, I have asked my hosting company (wpcloud.ca) to update WordPress.

I submitted a support ticket to wpcloud.ca asked them to update WordPress to 6.2 and received a reply from them 11 minutes later letting me know 6.2.2 was now installed!

Post Author Block is now working as expected on all posts.

Thanks for taking the time Anders!
