Post By Mail Shortcodes break WordPress post

I’ve also already tried using several different email accounts to send it from, iCloud, gmail, protonmail, hotmail and any of them gives me the same issue, even when using thrid party apps that use POP or IMAP to retrieve emails and use them to create a post on WordPress the error is still present.

I’ve deleted all plugins, and the theme I was using, I changed to stock WordPress themes I case perhaps it was a incompatibility with Jetpack + My theme, but the error was persistent regardless of which theme I changed it to.

I’ve also deleted the Jetpack plugin and installed it again, and the option to use shortcodes in the post was turned on as well.

Yes those had been the ones I’ve been using, whichever one I try to use always gives me the same result, the error mentioned above.

I tried to replicate your issue but I was able to publish a post by using a number of different shortcodes.

Are you able to retrieve any logs for the errors you’re getting? That would be useful for us to track down the root of the problem.

Hi there, I’m not sure how to access these logs for errors, but I opened one of the posts that for some reason now it lets me edit it, but there was this error log mentioned in it.

Since we’re not able to replicate the issue on our side, it’s possible that this is being caused by another plugin on your site. Can you try testing for a plugin conflict?

Temporarily deactivate all the site’s plugins except for Jetpack and clear your browser’s cache. Then try posting by email with shortcodes again. If it works without errors, then we’ll know that another plugin is conflicting here. You can re-enable your plugins one by one while trying to post by email with shortcodes in between until you find the one causing the conflict.
