    Hello..
I’m hoping there may be a simple code fix to address my problem?
    using the following code:

    [tpg_get_posts orderby=”date” shorten_content=”w300″ ]

When I create a post while logged into the WordPress backend the active link for read more displays correctly.

When posting via email using the Postie plug-in the text of read more displays but is not an active link. Is there any way to overcome this issue?

Awesome utility so far as I’m just beginning to test it out!

There is nothing that immediately comes to mind, but it has been a couple of years since I looked at Postie. Let’s see if we can get some more details.

Does the post show on a blog page with a readme or does it just show the entire post?

Does Postie have an option for excerpts that might be conflicting with the get-posts plugin?

I would like to see the html generated by the plugin vs what is shown on the blog for the same post. Is there a site where I can view the output showing these symptoms?

you can send the website to webmaster – tpginc.net if you do not want to post the site on the support page. But lets keep most information here so others with the same problem can reference this. Thanks

WOW! that was fast! No problem posting the info here. Thank you so very much.
I posted a sample that I will pull down once someone looks at it.

It shows with the continue reading link here:

Where I’m using the TPG code: (scroll to view under recent announcements)

the read more link is text only.

Right below that post you will see one that I made through the backend and the link is active for read more.

I did do a fresh install on the plug in just to try and rule any issue out after installing postie.
    Thank you again!

Just to follow up.. I attempted a plain text message which actually works correctly! It seems the HTML email format is what is throwing the functionality off.

WOW! I just figured this out and am absolutely embarrassed what the issue was! Thank you so much for your time!
Just in case anyone else runs across a problem. Here’s the fix:
In the Postie plugin under the message menu, the first option is preferred text type, by default it was set to HTML change it plain text and the TPG plugin works perfectly!

Thank you again for your quick response and assistance!
