Since few days ago all attachments (images) in email are rejected by “post by email”. It recognized and posted all contents of my email but not the attached image. It has been working before, since I have this setup.

I got a email notification from WordPress says something like ” unknown token”, can anyone help?

  • I have the same issue. Tried disconnecting JetPack and reconnecting but still receive the same ‘unknown token’ error when trying to post by email.

Wordpress update to 5.7.2 and delete/reinstall/reapprove of JetPack still receive same error as well.

    I’m seeing the same problem.

Some attachments were rejected from the following WordPress.com Post by Email:
    image.jpg – Unknown token

Same here. As I recently updated Jetpack to 9.8.1 I tried to downgrade.
Did all versions down to 9.6.1 (which is 9.8, 9.7.1, 9.6.2,9.6.1 — the last one I know that it worked). No success.

So the reason has to be somewhere at WordPress. Had this before, went away after some days.

    Hello there, everyone!

This is currently a known bug, and we are tackling it here on this GitHub issue:

    https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/20132

Please follow that issue to know when a fix will be in place – it will be updated just as soon as that will be available. Thanks!
