Post Body Content not showing up

So everything was working great last night. Got on to my website and on the front page I have the most recent posts. Well the title is there, the featured image is there however there is no body content or a continue reading button. It just shows a “p” where there should be content. The same thing when I go to my postings page. Title shows, featured image shows, but no body content just a “p”. Now when I click on the title to to go to that particular post the body content would show up.
So what do I need to look at or do in order to get the post body content to show up on my homepage and postings page?
