Post author/Comments # shown

On our site https://effectivemarketinganddesignsolutions.com/blog/ each blog entry shows up with the author being John Tarr, the site’s owner. Is there any way to have it show the author’s name, if we have a guest author?

Also, below the authors name on the blog, it shows the # of comments left or pending. Is there some way to hide that comments phrase from the blog post?
