Post and Pages Not Fully Loading

    I am the owner of the blog https://www.playahata.com/hatablog/ I have had this site and blog set up for several years though I must admit over the last 9 months or so I have been a bit of an absentee owner, not really making any updates or upgrades, but simply making post to the blog. In any case about 2 days ago something strange happened. The background is supposed to be all black. I have not changed anything but all of a sudden it’s grey and it seems like the whole page is not FULLY loading as my links, and categories, etc that used to be on the right side are now at the bottom. I thought it might be a database error but if it is I can’t identify it. Also I tried deleting the post that were made around the time this issue began, hoping this was being caused by a tag or something not being closed, but to no avail. This happens when I look at Post as well as load Pages. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Any ideas what might be causing it? I am currently using the WordPress Default 1.6 by Michael Heilemann theme and running version 2.5 of the software (I think that’s the version, not sure where that info is located). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • It has to be something to do with your CSS file. Are you sure you haven’t moved or changed this file:

    <style type=”text/css” media=”screen”>
    @import url( https://playahata.com/hatablog/wp-content/themes/default/style.css );

    well two things about that. I haven’t updated in a long time so unless something was corrupted somehow there shouldn’t be anything different about the placement of my style sheet nor it’s contents. Looking at the file it indicates it was last updated November 11th, 2007. Also I shouldn’t be using that style sheet right now. I have my page pointed to https://playahata.com/hatablog/wp-content/themes/classic/style.css ); I’ll look more into this but are there any other suggestions or possibilities? Please I really need to fix this.

    dude you’re a genius. I didn’t change my css file but somehow my blog got reset to use the old default theme which i disabled some time ago. I don’t know how that happened, and it makes me a little leery but I just switched to the theme i had made my personal mods to and voila – as good as old. Thanks for your suggestion, I was really rusty. I have to get back on top of this for the summer….

    I am having similar trouble.. All I want to do is setup a test site for the Student Ministries department at my church.. in the settings I changed my front page to my about page (https://geeks4god.web44.net) and my blog page to my news (https://geeks4god.web44.net/news/) and since then the front page won’t load any sugestions on how to get this to be fixed.

    This is a new issue, hence you should post a new thread!!!

    Also, check at setting –> Reading section of your dashboard. The first option is about the frontpage. Make sure you have made the correct settings.
