possibly SEO / google issue, thanks

Just after some advice please, have set up a new website – a WordPress blog.

I have set these up before, and usually, once submitted / verified to Google (through Webmaster Tools) and sitemaps created – then most content appears on google within a day, often quicker.

This new site – google seems to ignore it mostly – just wondered if anyone has any good advice please?

The only slightly unconventional thing about this site is that I bought the domain name, and asked my (already existing) hosting company to ‘point’ this domain simply to a subfolder of another website, could this cause problems?
