Possible with video in mansory view?

  • Hello!

    In the link I provided I’ve tested using mansory view, and the client ideally wants each box to have different kinds of displays of testimonials – including a video. In the box “YouTube testimonial test. Here is a video”, I added the URL as specified on one of your support pages, but it doesn’t show.

    In the box “View in View video” I tried to add the shortcode for a single view testimonial as the testimonial itself. Didn’t work either.

    (Below the mansory you see the single testimonial shortcode displayed on its own, and the video shows, so it should mean I added the URL correctly).

    Is it in any way possible with video in mansory view?

    Videos and other embeds work in Masonry, though the layout is not ideal because the embed feature may resize them after the initial rendering based on the parent container width.

    In your case, it seems like a theme or plugin conflict. I can devise a solution once we identify the conflict. Here’s how to do that.

    1. Switch to a default theme like Twenty Seventeen. If you do this in the Customizer via Live Preview you won’t affect the front end of the site. If the videos work, then the conflict is with the theme. If not, on to the plugins.

    2. Deactivate other plugins one at a time and test the page each time. If the videos work then the conflict is with the last plugin deactivated.

    Let me know what you find out.

    Thanks for the super-quick reply. As long as I know it’s supposed to be possible, I’m good. Will search for the conflict with theme/other plugins, and let you know when I find the source.
