• Hi,
I was wondering if a site using SuperPWA can be listed on the various AppStores using https://www.pwabuilder.com/ ? Excuse if this is a silly question, or doesn’t make sense. I only just started looking into progressive webapps and am not 100% sure yet what the implications of it are.

    Thanks

  • Yes, websites using SuperPWA plugin can easily build and publish apps for different platforms using PWA Builder website. PWA Builder takes data from your site and uses that to generate cross-platform Progressive Web Apps.

Thanks Jose! That’s great! I was wondering, a client of mine is considering creating a PWA, but he is concerned about the persistency of login states. Do you happen to have any experience with that regarding WordPress PWAs? Is it possible to authenticate a device and safe it’s state when the app is accessed as a PWA, but handle regular web users different, or would these cookies settings be the same for all users of the site then? I mean I’m sure I could figure out some custom solution to handle this, but I wonder if there is a sort of best practice for this usecase with PWA’s?
    Thanks again for your feedback!

Yes, the cookies settings will be same as on the browser.

Using our plugin SuperPWA, we add the PWA functionalities like offline caching, Add to Homescreen, Splash screen, Theme color..etc to the website and make it like an app. All the features/functionalities of a website which works on a browser will work on PWA. ie; PWA is browser dependent.
