Possible to narrow definition of “verified owner” to specific variation

    Hi,

    I have a products with multiple variations (by color). I am currently restricting reviews only to logged in user / verified owner.

    However, it seems that WooCommerce is only looking at the parent SKU to determine if the product was purchased. Is it possible to restrict review to only people that have bought a specific variation, rather than any variation of the product?

    I would like customer to only be able to comment on a black t-shirt, rather than white t-shirt.

    Right now it looks like the reviews (and permissions) are aggregated by the parent SKU.

    Hi @lychee128,

    The default review system built into the core WooCommerce plugin is not capable of differentiation product reviews for each variation of a product.

    I have done some research, and I wasn’t able to find a plugin that does exactly what you are asking for either.

    In this case, I would suggest reaching out to someone on our WooCommerce Customizations Page to see if a custom option is available for you.
