Possible to limit by category / taxonomy when using “Populate with a Post Type”

I’m using this plugin to auto-populate a dropdown with posts from my custom post type.

Is it possible to limit the choices to a particular category or custom taxonomy?

Looks like this may be my best bet but thought I’d ask if there’s another way.
