    Hi:

    Thank you for this plugin!
I’m rebuilding a WooCommerce site for a client – their current site uses an old Classic theme and I’m moving them to Gutenberg. I’m using your plugin to add some extra tabs to different product pages, based on categories – that works fine. But then they show up on the Shop page, which I don’t want.

Is that problem solved by purchasing the Pro version of this plugin and using Tags instead of Categories? Or do I have to use another plugin?

    Thanks!

Also, when creating additional tabs via categories, they end up in the breadcrumbs. Is there a way to remove them?
    Thanks!

I have made the site accessible – here’s a page with the additional categories in the breadcrumbs:
    https://staging5.vacationgear.com/product/blanket-rental-twin-blanket-rental-single-bed-blanket-rental-beach-vacation-linen-rental-by-vacation-gear-rental/

The “z-product-tabs” is a parent category, “Linen Rentals” is a child of it – I don’t want either in the breadcrumbs.

Here is the “shop” page – at bottom is the z-product-tabs, which I don’t want to appear: https://staging5.vacationgear.com/rent/

    Hi, @vytaulla51.

Thanks for using WooCommerce Product Tabs. I appreciate the details and links you’ve included, and I’m happy to help look into your concerns.

Setting your custom product tabs’ Visibility to Show on specific categories does exactly that and doesn’t add/create them as a product category. The page on your website at https://staging5.vacationgear.com/rent/ appears to display a “Z-Product Tabs” product category for some reason. Have you somehow added/created this category?

This issue is related to the “Z-Product Tabs” product category on your website. The theme you’re using is displaying/including the product categories in the breadcrumbs. You can resolve this by either removing the “Z-Product Tabs” product category (if indeed unnecessary or not needed) or if the theme you’re using has an option to not display breadcrumbs. Either way, it is the theme that is displaying the breadcrumbs and not WooCommerce Product Tabs.

I hope the above helps. Please let me know how it goes.

Hi: Thank for replying! That clarified what I was doing incorrectly – but raised another question:

Can I assign a product-tab to a single product? Also, they list some of their products in more than one category like Bike Helmets – which they list under Bike Gear Rentals and Extras and Essentials. If I want to have a “Bike Safety” tab just on Bikes, but not all the other things under Extras and Essentials, is that doable? Both would be possible with the PRO version – I can then assign to individual products, correct?

    Hi,?@vytaulla51.

Thanks for your reply, and understanding. I’m glad I could help clarify what was happening on your website.

Yes, you can set your custom product tabs’ Visibility to show on specific products or tags in the pro version. This way, you can assign/display tabs to individual products (e.g. to display tabs on bike products only).

Please let me know if this addresses your concern, and if you have any more questions.

Just be clear – with the Pro version, I could add an extra Product Tab to a single product, right?

There are no Product Categories that have only one product in them so I need to be able to drill all the way down to a single product in some cases. For instance, in their Vacation Game Rental category, each game has it’s own set of rules so I would want to add a different extra tab to each game, each with it’s specific set of rules. That’s possible, right?

    Hi, @vytaulla51. Thanks for asking.

Yes and as mentioned, in the pro version you can add/create an extra product tab and set its Visibility to show on specific products or tags (screenshot: https://share.zight.com/d5ujBBPb) – just like how you can set its Visibility to show on specific categories.

Let me know if you have any more questions.
