Possible to hide map / show distance?

Hello!

I’m presently working on a website encouraging bicycling for families and youths. The site is supposed to allow a GPX file to be uploaded, and for two things to be shown: 1. The distance travelled based on the GPX file, and 2. The overall outline of the route taken without an identifying map behind it (for privacy if the ride happens to start from that user’s home).

While I know distance doesn’t seem (at least, I haven’t seen it) built into your plugin, is there a function in the shortcode that would hide the OSM map? And *is* there a function that could display distance?
