So we are trying to run all of our event bookings through our new website, and I’m considering purchasing EMPro- I’ve been playing with the free version and there’s a lot of cool functionality. But I’m trying to figure out if I can do a couple of specific things with pro.

    1) Our primary fundraising events are golf tournaments- which means we sell foursomes. For these, 1 ticket covers 4 attendees. Is it possible to create a separate booking form for a ticket like this where the registering party can enter the guest information for all 4? The flip side is… we don’t want it to be mandatory to enter all 4 at the time of booking… we’d like people to be able to log back in at a later date to fill in the other guest info if they don’t have it all at the time they book. Is this possible?

    2) On the event page in the ticket box, is it possible to make the headings for each ticket bold, so they stand out, and maybe add an extra space in between ticket types? When you have a couple of tickets together, they start to blend together. You can check out the 1st golf tournament listing at test.thepathwayhome.org if you’d like to see what I mean.

I’m not a coder, so these may be simple fixes. But so far, this plugin offers the most diverse functionality of any event management plugins I’ve found elsewhere. Any answers would be very helpful, thanks!

    1) whilst you can add attendee forms that gets info for each space/ticket, your users can’t go in and edit the booking later. you can, but not the person who booked, they can only cancel the booking.

    2) You can probably make this happen just with CSS, or alternatively you can override our booking form templates. Some design/dev experience needed for this.

Thanks Marcus. Ok, I think I can probably get around users not being able to log back in, that’s not the end of the world. But just to make sure I understand correctly, so I can create a separate booking form for each ticket in the pro version? For example, I can have one booking form for our “Golf Foursomes” ticket that asks for information for 4 golfers, but information for 3 of the golfers is not mandatory. Then another booking form for “Golf Individuals” that just asks for information for one golfer, and then a separate booking form for “Dinner Only” that asks for information from dinner attendees? I just want to be sure I’m understanding correctly before I go purchase EMPro. Thanks!

    Hiya,

To clarify: it is not possible to create booking forms for each ticket, no.

You can have a booking form for each event however.

It would be possible to present different booking forms for each ticket, but it would require an extra overhead of having to create identical events for each ticket.

Adding to Phil’s suggestions, EM can’t do exactly what you want, but close. I’ll explain for everyone to avoid confusion.

In Pro, you can have attendee forms which you can edit to request specific information (default is names)

So the single and foursome tickets will automatically show a form for each golfer, which you can use to e.g. ask for names. Nuances to what you want are that there’s no feature to show different forms for each ticket type, and also you can’t just require the first name and not the rest.

Then there’s the dinner ticket, which you could add as a seperate ticket to the above and request names, but same required issues could apply here.

If you create seperate events for each though, then you can create a different attendee/booking form for each event. You could then even create a booking form (not attendee form) that requires one name and then asks for three more non-required names.

    Hope that helps!

I have a similar question. I have an event where we have two different ticket levels – one for individuals and one for families. Families pay a flat rate for all members combined, but we will need the attendee information for each individual. So, I need for people to be able to select, for instance, 4 spots for their family while only paying for a single ticket at the family price. I have got the attendee form thing figured out – we need the same info from each person so that isn’t the issue.
